Hello friends! The school year is about to begin and we at the Playhouse Café can’t believe how fast the summer has flown by. We have many exciting classes and events occurring this fall. Plus, in an effort to help out our military families, this month we are collecting school supplies for Military families in need. Please drop off any new school supplies (no donation is too small!) at our café. Here is what is new this month in our little community!
Mom’s Affordable Spa Nights continue! When: Thursday, Sept. 11th & Thursday, Sept. 25th from 4-8 p.m. Sign yourself or your group up now for our affordable spa services such as pedicures, manicures, mini-facials, waxing, body wraps and massage. (Please write to playhousecafesd@gmail.com with your name, contact info, the date you are signing up for, services you are requesting and two best hours for the services.)
Parent’s Morning Out – Every Friday from 9:30-12:30.
3 hours of childcare, lunch and music or dance for only $18! For ages 2 years and up. Your child plays happily while you get those errands done (or maybe take a well-deserved nap!) *We must have at least 3 children signed up by Wed of the week to provide service. Sign up early!
Parent’s Night Out: On Spa Nights – Thurs Sept. 11th and 25th, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Cost - $20 for ages 2 and up. Includes dinner and music or dance jam party. Must sign up by Wednesday of the week you want to participate. |

Come take a free ride on The Little Fire Truck! Saturday, Sept. 27th at 10am. The Little fire truck is a Kids size Hook'en Ladder Fire Truck. It has 24 feet of bench seating in the trailer. The back of the trailer steers like its big brothers. It is fire engine red, with polished diamond plate, and real fire ladders!
Free Silly Songs! – Mondays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. Come sing your favorite (and some new) funny, child-friendly songs with our wonderful teacher, Nancy.
Free Playhouse Dance Party Jam! – Free 5p.m. Every Tuesday. Fun, child friendly music with lots of silly dancing fun. |

Creative movement and beginning ballet: Mondays at 4pm. (4-6) FREE DEMO on Monday, Sept 8th. Children are taught basic movement, counting, an introduction to rhythm awareness, and how to listen to music, often using a variety of props. We will introduce ballet, creative dance, improvisation, and tumbling. Listening skills are also emphasized. Students also learn class etiquette and how to "work" as part of a group. Only $46 per month. $15/drop in.
Songbirds Music Sunday mornings at 10 am by the wonderful Diana Davidson. FREE Demo class Sept. 7th at 10:00am. Fall session begins on Sunday, September 14th and run for ten weeks (ending Nov. 16th). Beginning Organizational Scrapbooking With Creative Memories Consultant, Eden: 11 a.m. on Monday Cost: Free. We supply the room, table and chairs – you come with friends and chat! Eden will help you to organize and craft your memories into unique keepsakes you will treasure for a lifetime.
Stretch and Grow: Thursdays, at 10 a.m. Children have a blast while they learn the basics of exercise (warm-up, stretching, endurance, aerobics, cool-down) and the importance of regular exercise. Wellness issues (i.e. safety, nutrition, and hygiene) are emphasized.
Simple word and memory games teach children about the basic food groups, the importance of balanced diets, and the health risks of poor eating habits. 40/month or $15/drop in.
